Deliver the shoot on one private link
Transfer links expire, folders get lost, and your name disappears once the photos are reposted. Most delivery tools are built for weddings and family sessions. Mefolio is built for fashion, editorial and model shoots: you deliver on one private link, the model picks her frames, and every frame she publishes carries your credit back to you.
How to deliver photos to clients — and why transfer links fail
Email cannot carry a full shoot. Transfer services and shared drives can, but the link expires, the files arrive as an anonymous folder, and you never learn which frames the client actually wants. A delivery gallery solves all three: the client views the shoot in the browser, picks favourites, and downloads what they need — while you keep control of access.
- Email: fine for a few previews, not for a whole session
- Transfer link or shared drive: big files, but no selection, no credit, and it expires
- Delivery gallery: viewing, selection, downloads and access control in one link
How a Mefolio delivery works
- Create a gallery and drop in the whole shoot — photos, RAW files and video
- Add the model's email, set a password or an expiry date if you want, and press Send
- The model opens the link — no account needed to view — stamps the frames she loves and downloads them
- With a Mefolio account, the model adds selected frames to her page, with your name on them
Online proofing: let the client choose
Instead of a list of file numbers by email, the client stamps favourites right in the gallery. Add lists such as Retouch or Print in the gallery settings and they pick frames for each list separately. You see the choices and copy the file names straight into Lightroom or Capture One to find them in your catalogue.
RAW, video and full-size downloads
- RAW delivery: upload the RAW and the JPEG with the same name — the JPEG is shown, the RAW is the download
- A RAW without a JPEG uses the preview stored inside it
- Video files play in the gallery and can be downloaded
- Full-size originals, or turn downloads off when you only want the client to view and choose
Protect your work
- Password and expiry date for each gallery
- Watermark: viewers see a watermarked version, your originals stay clean
- "Protect from saving" turns off right-click and dragging
- Galleries are never shown on Google
Your credit travels with the photo
When a model adds your frame to her page, it shows your name and links to your Mefolio. Agencies and clients who open her portfolio see who shot it. Every delivery becomes a small placement of your work in front of the people who book shoots.
Built for fashion, editorial and test shoots
Wedding-first platforms focus on print stores and slideshows. Fashion work needs other things: a model choosing frames for her book, retouch lists, RAW handoff, and credit that survives reposting. It is also the cleanest way to settle a test shoot (TFP): agree in advance that you deliver through one gallery, the model picks her frames, and the credit is attached automatically.
Looking for a Pixieset or WeTransfer alternative?
If you mostly shoot weddings and sell prints, a print-store platform may suit you better. If you shoot models, fashion or editorial and care about selection, RAW handoff and credit, Mefolio is made for that workflow — and it is free during launch.
A portfolio for you too
Photographers get their own page at mefolio.co/yourname with selected work, city and a booking form — one link to send to clients and agencies.
Questions
- What is a client delivery gallery?
- A private online gallery where a photographer shares a finished shoot. The client views, selects and downloads the photos. Mefolio adds model selection and photographer credit.
- How do I deliver photos to a model after a test shoot?
- Create a gallery, upload the shoot and send the link to the model's email. She picks her frames and, with a Mefolio account, adds them to her page with your credit.
- Does the client need an account to view the gallery?
- No. The link (and the password, if you set one) is enough to view, choose and download. An account is only needed to add frames to a Mefolio page.
- Can I deliver RAW files?
- Yes. Upload the RAW together with a JPEG of the same name; the JPEG is used for viewing and the RAW is the download.
- Can clients choose photos for retouching?
- Yes. Add list names such as Retouch or Print; clients pick frames for each list and you copy the file names for Lightroom or Capture One.
- Can I protect a gallery?
- Yes — with a password, an expiry date, a watermark, and by turning downloads or saving off.
- How is the photographer credited?
- Frames a model adds to her page show your name and link to your Mefolio page.
- Is it free?
- Mefolio is free during launch. See the pricing page for the current plans and limits.
